Peter W. Skibitzki

Peter currently serves as the Senior Director of Information Technology for the San Juan Unified School District. He manages technical efforts and customer service for educational programs and business functionality at San Juan. Peter is actively involved in the decision-making processes surrounding technology and its use for enhancing the educational environment for the San Juan Unified School District. Peter has nearly 30 years of experience in the computer field, directly supporting K-12 education. He earned a B.A. in History from CSU Sacramento. Peter was a member of CETPA's/CITES' first graduating CTO Mentor Class in 2007 and has served as an instructor and mentor for the program. He served on the CITE board of directors from 2010 to 2020 as a director at large, treasurer, and board President in 2015. Peter was recognized in 2015 as the ACSA Region 2 Technology Administrator of the Year. In 2021 he was honored by CITE with a Life Time Achievement award and inducted into the IT Hall of Fame.
