Education technology has become an essential component of teaching and learning, but existing district processes have not adapted at the same pace. Shared spreadsheets, online forms, disconnected data and siloed teams don’t cut it when it comes to requesting, vetting and adopting new technology, protecting student data and ensuring return on investment.

District leaders need access to key information – and need to be able to share it with the right people at the right time – to ensure digital learning tools deliver positive impacts, safely and equitably, for students, teachers and budgets.

 

Learning Objectives:

Understand the full lifecycle of a digital learning tool within a district, from initial request to evaluation and renewal, and the evidence needed at each stage.

Understand how to build a comprehensive and transparent edtech request and review process.

Understand how to clearly communicate approved tools to teachers and families to support successful adoption of digital learning resources.

Understand how to gather and analyze contextual evidence to optimize return on investment and inform future instructional, operational and financial decisions.
