Program Overview

This course has been designed to offer an overview of Wired Networking in a K-12 environment.  The course consists of asynchronous online content, five (5) Zoom discussion sessions, and real-world assignments.

This program might be for you if: 

  • You are already in IT and need to bulk up your wired networking knowledge  
  • You are new to IT and need foundational knowledge and practice in wired networking  
  • You are considering a move into IT from a different district position and would like to learn wired networking fundamentals

      • QoS LAN and Metro LAN Overview 
      • Ethernet Resiliency & QoS Mechanisms 
      • IP Resiliency & QoS Mechanisms

    • Module 4 - Security for Wired Networks 
      • Device Management Best Practices 
      • AAAA for the Wired Network 
      • Layer 2 & 3 Security Features
