A Win for California School Districts: PBISApps Now Covered Under CA-NDPA

Posted By: Erin Clancy CITE News,

After several months of dedicated efforts and collaborative negotiations, we have successfully completed the CA-NDPA agreement with the University of Oregon. This agreement, finalized on June 5, 2024, covers the use of the University's renowned Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) resources, now fully available to all California school districts.

These resources are designed to assist K-12 school districts in implementing systematic approaches to managing and promoting positive behaviors. These evidence-based strategies create a more supportive and productive environment aimed to help every student thrive.

The CA-NDPA ensures that K-12 districts can simultaneously enjoy the benefits of the PBIS resources and the peace of mind knowing that the privacy of student data remains protected. This aligns with our ongoing commitment to ensure that the highest standards of student data safety and legal compliance are upheld.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the University of Oregon for their cooperation and commitment to supporting our efforts. This collaboration not only enriches our resource pool but also strengthens our collective capability to improve the overall quality of a student's experience.

Thank you to everyone involved in the negotiation process, and to all CITE members for your continued support and engagement. We hope everyone is as excited as we are to see the positive impacts of this agreement unfold.
