CompTIA A+ Bootcamp Study Program

Program Overview

The CITE Staff & Board of Directors are pleased to launch our pilot CompTIA A+ Bootcamp study program. The bootcamp has been designed to focus especially on K-12 technology environments and features facilitation by a CompTIA exam proctor.

Registration includes an exam voucher. Both exams must be completed to earn the CompTIA A+ designation.

This program will be piloted in two parts:

  • Spring 2024: Core 1
  • Fall 2024: Core 2

Each bootcamp will consist of 10 weekly two-hour sessions on Tuesdays from 9:00 - 11:00 am via Zoom. For the spring pilot, the schedule is:

    • Week 6: Maintaining, Optimizing, Troubleshooting Operating Systems, & Command Line

Pilot Participation

For the initial CompTIA A+ Bootcamp pilot, we will be asking participants to provide detailed feedback to help refine our content and processes. As a pilot program, the tuition will be reduced significantly and may be payable via purchase order or credit card.

Thank you for your interest in the CompTIA A+ Program. The pilot is now full, check back for Fall 2024 registration opening later this spring.

CITE Members: $600 for Core 1 (Spring 2024)

Non-Members: $720 for Core 1 (Spring 2024)

Please plan to purchase a specified CompTIA A+ study book (info forthcoming).

*Core 2 (Fall 2024) will be a separate registration fee and will become available later this spring.

We are also seeking experienced CITE community members who are interested and able to commit to facilitating one or more CompTIA A+ (Core 2) sessions beginning Fall 2024.
What does a facilitator do? Each facilitator reviews prepared content, slide decks, agendas, and pre-set activities in preparation to lead a two-hour session. Each session is a deep dive into one or more learning objectives for the module.
Facilitators meet ahead of time with CITE staff to discuss ways to bring their own professional experience to the session. Facilitators are provided a stipend and recertification hours for TMAP and the CTOM program.
